You need: a Makey Makey, the USB-C adapter, 6 alligator clips,
4 pieces of foil, and tape.
Plug the Makey Makey USB cable into the USB-C adapter, then plug the adapter into the iPad.
A little light on the Makey Makey turns on.
RED player: clip the โฌ ๏ธ LEFT arrow to one piece of foil and the
โก๏ธ RIGHT arrow to another piece of foil. Tape them down a hand-width apart.
BLUE player: clip the โฌ๏ธ UP arrow and the โฌ๏ธ DOWN arrow
to two more pieces of foil. Tape them down too.
Both players: clip a wire to EARTH (the strip along the bottom) and hold
the metal end in one hand. Two clips fit on the EARTH strip, one for each of you.
Tap START. When it says GO!, tap your two foils back and forth as fast as you can:
left, right, left, right... (or up, down, up, down...).
Why won't my car move? You have to switch foils every time. Tapping the same foil twice in
a row doesn't count! Also make sure you're holding the metal end of your EARTH clip.
Fun idea: put the foils on the floor, take your socks off, hold the EARTH clip, and run in place
on your two foils! ๐
๐ง Sound not working?
Tap each test button. Did you hear it?
Heard ๐ต but not ๐? The iPad is in Silent mode (see #1 below).
Videos and Spotify still play in Silent mode, but game sounds don't.
Didn't hear either one? Check the volume and Bluetooth (#2 and #3).
Check these on the iPad
Silent mode (the usual problem!). Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen.
If the ๐ bell is crossed out, tap it to turn sound on. (Older iPads with a little switch on the
side: flip it so no orange shows.)
Volume. Press the volume-up button while you're on this page.
Bluetooth. Make sure the sound isn't going to headphones or a speaker in another room.
In Control Center, tap the AirPlay icon on the music box and pick iPad.

Still stuck? Reload this page, tap the screen once, and try the tests again.
